New arrivals

We have had 3 more duck eggs hatch and they are all perfect little things! They were born on Easter Sunday, the following Wedneday and Friday 13th! They are all getting on really well and have even enjoyed having a bath each day in a washing up bowl! Unforunately their mother was killed by a stoat (we think) and so Nige decided to rescue her eggs and see if he could hatch them in the incubator and he did!

We have had a further set of twin lambs, girl and boy which were also born on Friday 13th and they are doing really well. Just one more ewe to lamb and we're done for the year.

The cottages were fully booked over the 2 weeks of Easter and we are continuing to be very busy for the rest of the year which is great. Our best seller is our 2 bedroom cottage, The Stables which has been booked out from 1st March until the beginning of October. We are always very happy to sell the other bigger cottages for less number of people so don't be put off in booking a larger cottage than you actually need - more rooms to play hide and seek in!

I have been busy in the kitchen cooking extra cakes for guests that have been staying - they have been going down a treat, although every time I bake a cake Nige looks forlornly at it watching leave the kitchen and not ending up in his stomach!
