Lovely and warm

At last some sun! What a wonderful week it has been for our guests and veggie patch! Things have been really slow growing due to the funny combination of weather we have been having.  The vegetables are at last showing signs that they might grow into something edible in the not so distance future.
Our last ewe gave birth a couple of weeks ago with triplets! 3 healthy little boys, although not so little now.
We have finished lambing and have 15 lambs in total, which is not bad at all.  We will start sending them off in July to lamby heaven as we like to call it (otherwise known as the abattoir!) and we will then have lovely fresh lamb to sell to our guests and friends back in Bournemouth. The 4 pigs are growing bigger each day and they will also be leaving us at the end of June to be replaced with 4 little ones to start the process all over again.
The holiday cottages have been really busy and we have seen a large increase this year on repeat bookings, so we must be doing something right!
We  have had a couple more ducklings hatch and now have 7 in total. 2 of them are very big now, as big as proper ducks and so we will be moving them to be outside continuously in a week or so, once we have sorted out a house for them to go in at night.
